Lightbulb a couple of tips...

Turn it on while you are still on the boat and leave it on until you end your dive (or when you feel comfortable to turn it off). It is much better to discover that you have a problem before hitting the water!

Get yourself a neoprene beer cooler to protect the light head (like Porgs suggestion but no Blue Peter skills required). If you can afford it get a nice big Pelican case to carry it around in (I keep all my electronic/fragile stuff in one).

Oh yes...

Keep the beam where your buddy can see it, don't wave it around giving annoying false signals but do use it as you primary signalling tool.

When attaching to your harness belt make sure the switch is next to the belt and the flex cord on the outerside.
This will prevent the flex connector getting damaged and possibly causing leak.
