DIRZone 10w HID 4.5 AMP NIMH

I have in my filthy hands one of the new DIRZone lights.

It's having a charge at the moment but as soon as it's done I'll try and take some pictures to post.

Very impressed so far, not having had a cannister light before it's smaller than I expected - which is nice.

Having only seen pictures of the Halcyon/Salvo ones I can't really make a comparison but I would guess the designs are similar. I do know that it uses the Welch Allen bulbs rather than the Brightstar one though.

It's likely I'll be diving at Stoney at the weekend to test in and the new twins out so expect a post soak report then.

All Halcyon HID torches use WA bulbs

Sandro should be getting his thread gauge tomorrow so he can test all valves before he posts them. Valves out to me tomorrow, in the UK Thursday, on the twinset Friday and in Stoney on Sunday.

Bish, bash, bosh - jobs a good 'un.

If you are about Sunday, would you mind me having a look at the new toy?

I'm up there doing my Nitrox course with Hydrodive (should have their red van down at the waters edge) so if you see it would you mind giving me (Steve) a shout?

Cheers
RM

Any chance of some pickies? I am looking for something to spend some of my redundancy money on.

Yes, I'd love to see some piccies. I'm considering an entry level umbilical torch purchase but currently do not know which way to go, Halcyon, Salvo, OMS or DIRZone.......
