c8r flooded, sort of.

A few weeks ago I flooded my C8 (Stoney Feb gig), so a new bulb holder was required, there are some crystals in there apparently that dont like water. Everyting seemed OK once that was fitted. Charged it up last week, hmm didnt get warm during the charging. Dead. No battery power at all. So nothing to lose I opened up the battery pack. The top portion just sits on the batteries, no solder nothing and is held on by what looks like silicon down the side of the pack and a shrink wrap film. Rusted to buggery. Cleaned with a nail file. Conatct at the other end (charging bit) were soldered on and also rusted, more filing, had to use a metal file, very small, be carefull, easy to arc the contacts. Re-assembled and taped up. Charged up fine. Wouldnt fit inside the torch though, seems to have grown. So off with the tape and applied a small amount of tape to hold batteries rigid(ish) popped it into the torch and all is well again.
So that's two bulb holder/lens reflectors and perhaps a new battery pack.
Bought it last Oct.
The handle is still perfect though.

Time will tell.
