Fa&Mi Multistar battery/Any umbilical battery

Where do you store your umbilical battery and how is it affixed ?

Clearly if you need to access the battery your options would be more limited but I saw pictures of Woz's set up on here the other day (can't find them now) and I am thinking of attaching to my harness/b-plate behind my right arm and using the lighthead on a goodman handle right hand (left arm reserved for computers/compass etc).

I do not (currently) hog loop the long primary hose so I don't need it on waistband for these purposes.

Any views welcome.

I have mine clipped onto my backplate high up. This then allows access when diving stages.

Talking I've just moved mine....

Dived the weekend with it strapped to the outside of my left cylinder on a cinch band. Not good! Snag hazard extraordinaire......

The battery is now clipped inside the left side of my wing using jubilee clips and clips, with the head attached to a Goodman handle (Thanks John at Kent Tooling for the advice!! ) and onto my left hand.

This keeps the right hand side clear for my stage cylinder when worn. It is easy to get at on the boat, and a significantly reduced snag opportunity!

BTW I have also changed the coil lead for a straight one to reduce any tension on either the battery or the head.

HTH

Steve
