Halcyon 10W HID fixed beem lead acid type. For £340 (I paid 300) it is an amazing bit

I got my one from the Dive Show in London in 04. I am still on the origional bulb. I paid £300 for it at the time but I think list is £340 available through DIR Direct or try Izzi down at Castletown. Underwater Explorors 01305 824555

The 21W is worth the mony but the 10W is fantastic value and much more than adiquate for most divers.

Again a 21w 9a Salvo HID for me...and there's me thinking I had a rare bit of kit! The aftersales service when I first got it was superb (smashed lamp cover and fried bulb...all sorted out from the US gratis and quicker than I get my reg serviced locally)

I've had fantastic support from Barry Miller at Salvo and Phill at divingniknaks for my Salvo torches. I can't recommend these things highly enough.

I don't think you are alone John....I certainly thought this when I was looking at getting a new torch....I could not imagine paying that much for something which spends most of its time in a cupboard.

However.....now that I have one I am so pleased I went the extra mile....in really bad visibility they are worth their own weight in Gold....seriously.
