As it says in the title, the small flat pieces of lead used to hold curtain seams down taped to the torch using relective tape - gets the torch neutral and makes it easy to spot if you mislay it

is it floaty because you're using rechargeable batteries?
if so, is it still floaty with standard disposable ones, which are generally more dense.

My torch was the other way around. It floated with normal batteries but sank with rechargables. If your battery is the latern type and the torch is round then there should be room inside for some lead to fill the holes.

My advice........... enjoy, if its floating and its on a lanyard then its handy when you need it and if you let it go it will be on the surface awaiting recovery. Jason

Hubby filled the handle of his floaty torch with lead and managed to make it neutrally bouyant - bluddy flukey git
