JMD Lantern Torch - any experience?

After reading the review at Diver I'm considering getting this torch for my mrs for X-mas. Does anyone have any experience with these. I may look at the first model of the 50w Xenon. Are there alternatives I should look at - within the (well below) £200 price range.
The idea is for me to give to her as a present and I use it

Underwater Lantern TorchIn 2005 JMD Technologies released 2 high quality lantern-style torches. Featuring the same precision engineering that is a key feature of the JMD Umbilical torch, these stylish hand held torches are made from precision machined anodised aluminium. They have been designed to be rugged and durable at a realistic price.

These torches use xenon bulbs and NiMH rechargeable batteries. The batteries are charged through the case by removing a single bung. They are depth-rated to 150m. They come with a standard 3 pin plug top charger. An optional multi voltage fast charger is also available.

There are 2 models available. In the initial reviews, it mentions that there is no lock on the on-off switch, and the torch may get knocked on (or off I guess). I notice in this months diver that it does now have a locking switch, and any existing owners get a free upgrade. Worth knowing if you are reading reviews that may now be a bit out of date.

One of my friends has the umbilical torch they do, and it is certainly bright and seems well made.

I think opting for the faster charger would be a good idea.

Cheers
