Or you can get a Salvo and trade me for my Pro3 canister and battery. Everyone's a winner, especially me. Digs.

[quote=Tom Winters]If you like Barry's lights, you can write him - he's got a little extra time on his hands until February. Did the family OK the release of his current address for the public? His situation and present abode is public knowledge, but at the same time I made sure to check first with the business and family. PS Dear Administrator(s) thank you for removing Tom Winter's implied humor regarding Barry and his address...I appreciate it very much. Ken Last edited by Ken : 07-06-06 at 09:16 PM.

Batteries Yesterday I sat through several hours of presentations by SAFT's scientific director on lithium batteries. A few of the points he made: To preserve the life of your very expensive Lithium Ion battery store it in a cool place (<20C) with less than 50% charge. Provided you have properly designed protection built into the battery and the correct charger Lithium Ion batteries are much easier to look after than any other rechargable, there is no memmory effect, they recharge quickly and the charger design is simple. Lithium primary batteries (no rechargables such as button cells and 3.6V AAs used in many dive computers) - there is no way of measuring thier remaining life, the voltage output is flat right up to the point when they die. Lithium cells are all sealed inside a metal can (nice to know when they are in your breathing loop) In terms of power density Li Ion is way ahead of everything else. Simon
