Salvo Torches
What is going on with second hand Salvo torches at the moment? Seems to have been a flood of them hitting Ebay in the last couple of weeks.
Just curious, wondering if there are new toys coming from Salvo and people are getting rid of the old ones.

Yeah, but none of them are the one I want! Lots of ditching of 21Ws though, for those with the casha nd inclination.

I assume (but you know what they say about assumptions) that at least one is because the owner might want/need SLA's and not NiMH

I'm going for SLA - certainly not everyone's choice - especially if you want to travel - but it's right for me (I hope )

swapping either for SLA which seems to be becoming popular with the DIR lot
or to the new remote ballast type head (which are very nice ) perhaps?

Fancy telling us why?

I have a SLA 10W Halcyon and a NMH 21W Salvo

I like the £11 replacement batery cost of the 10W but the 2 hour burn time can be limiting when considering the time it takes to charge it. The slow charge time proved a problem on a couple of ocasions.
