| What should you read into the colour temperature that's quoted for a HID? How does 4200K compare to 6000 K? It's a bigger number, but is that good or bad? | The bigger the numbe, the whiter (bluer) the light. Sunlight is 6500K, the further away you get from that in lower temps it gets more yellow. For HID you wuld expect more like 5000-6500K Here is a useful list from a Google search Quote:
