| Fiona, Burntesting tells you a lot about the condition of your batteries and whether or not you should swap them out or not! It also comes in handy before your on your 4th dive of the day and your light goes out!! It's not OTT and only for long cave dives at all IMO You'll need a multimeter and a kitchen timer (with alarm if preferable)...I also like to dump the data into an .xls to track the discharge curves (mail me if you want my template) HTH Rick

| Stick it in a sink and see how long it takes to go flat - and if you put it in a bucket or something in the room you're in then you can see when it goes off without having to sit watching it. |

| I have decided to turn the torch off after being on for 48 hours I used Duracell Mach M3's. Now I think I need a new set of batteries for the weekend coz its bound to go out on a dive. |
