I'm not sure which Kowalski Clare (the diver on the right) is using in the vid. I think it might be the 620.

However I used to own a 1250 Speed and the Darkbuster is way, way brighter then that (although I didn't do a side by side comparison). I did do a side by side comparison with my 21W Salvo and the Darkbuster and they were of similar brightness, but the Darkbuster is non-focusable. I had the old style Salvo bulb so I had to get a bulb upgrade from Phill

The downsides of a Darkbuster (compared to a Kowalski at least) are the case is made of plastic, not aluminium, and the charging mechanism isn't as sophisticated - you have to unscrew something that looks like a reg port cover and then plug the charger in.

However Missus Janos hasn't had any problems with hers so far (touch wood).

Just not with fancy Delrin and it's not umbilical so it's £200 to £250 instead of £700 - £800.

You pay a lot for your fancy umbilicalness.

The UK distributor is selling for £250. The same torch from the German distributor is £50 cheaper. I don't know how much it will cost to ship to UK.

Woz does them for around £230, and he'll let you grope his moobs for free as an added incentive.

The value proposition..........

Dear all,

Light Cannon went bang at 20m at the weekend: second time it has flooded in 4 years BUT it carries on regardless.......AND you can get a tribal pak with cannon, small torch and titanium pointy knife for £100 in the states.......having said that still saving for a Salvo
