| HID50 it is then! Especially as the burn time on an FII, with a HID50 is 240Mins with wattage of 50 and a Tristar 15 is 180Mins with a wattage of 45. Cheers all!

| I'm sure you'll be bery happy together.. I bought the older style Tristar and FII...dived it for a year and then upgraded and bought the 50w HID. The Hid is far better...still a bright white light but it penetrates so much better. As a contrast...I got the Tristar Plus for a mate at last years dive show and its alot better brighter than my Tristar...but its still know where near the 50w HID... Its a good choice and a good compromise between burn time and light sabre.

| when my bulb went on the 10watt HID i replaced it with a tristar plus. my dives are generally below 50m and have found this torch head more than sufficient. brett at divelife advised me on the tristar plus, rather glad he did |
