Smile Sartek

There was a bloke in the USA doing SARTEK torches on USA ebay .....re ported to be VERY good kit and he was doing the 10w HID umbillical with 4 hr battery incl charger (incl a car 12v charger) for a little over £200 with $50 dollar delivery to UK.
He would even sort out the import for you and it is a bit of a bargain
Check out SARTEK website.

Without doing a search cos I'm lazy what are the benefits / weaknesses of each bulb type? am i right in thinking:

LED - very bright, long burn time, but lacking distance
Xenon / halogen - ?
Xenophot - Bright & cheap to replace better burn time than halogen
HID - the ultimate, long burn time (due to lower wattage bulb for equivalent output), but very fragile & expensive to replace

He's got the Brightstar Darkbuster HID torch, it uses the same 21W HID bulb as the Salvo's, but it's a whole lot cheaper. i.e. £239.95
Are these the same as the one's Mr Niknaks sells/used to sell?

TIA

Does the Pro head have an adjustable beam?

Am I the only one who is happy with the UK 100 HID. Is there some reason I should think it's crap? It is a bright HID for under 200 sterling and I get 4 hours from Ni-MI batteries.

John if your happy with it there is no reason you should think it's crap, but it is at the lower end of the main light range in terms of price and build quality.

I think people on here see and read about all these high powered/priced torches and think they need one or get "torch envy". Most will not use them to there full potential so if the torch does what you need it to then there is nothing wrong with that.

Yup. They are great. Only downside is you realise how much you are paying for your fancy umbilicalness and delrin.

Ask Woz for more details.
