How do you secure the webbing loop with jubliee clips on a canister torch?
Might seem like a daft question but I want to mount my Solus 1000 on my waist harness strap. I want to mount it with a webbing loop and I'm just trying to get some clarification on exactly how to do it?

My take on it is as shown in the diagram below:


Is it right that points A and B of the webbing loop are just loose ends or is the webbing a "true" one piece loop?
I am a little concerned with leaving the A and B ends just loose with the size of the Solus and also the cost!!
I supposed they could be wrapped around the jubilee clip a couple of times before tightening.

Your thoughts and comments please

Mine is a true loop.

As to losing it mounted as shouwn in your diagram - I'd be surprised. There are many bit of kit help by jubilee clips - stages, ponies etc.

You coult turn the edges and sew them to make a thinker end to stop the webbing slipping out. In the end getting 5 inches of the stuff and making a complete loop should not be that hard.

Sew the two ends together. Then feed the two Jubliee clips throught and onto the can.

Correctomundo.

Make the two ends overlap, and then make sure the two jubliee clips are pulling the loop semi taught. Plus mount the two clips in the upper half so the cam hangs down nicely.
