| batts Hi.u cant get a higher voltage than 1.7v ans as allready said rechargeables are allways 1.2 - 1.3v....soz...wat voltage is the bulb and do u have a piccy or the tourch u might want to try and modify the battery it takes with a different type like an intruder alarm battery...idont know without looking there are other possibillities...i use a crappy nova with a 35watt halogen in yet they only come with a 10 or 20 wat bulb u can play around with tourches... |

| As already stated recharceables are always 1.2V, but is is a fairly constant 1.2v, Disposables start higher but drop lower pretty quickly. The salvo backup is a Princetontec Surge I think. I seem to recall that it has 8 AA cells, arranged in 2 sets of 4. Each set of 4 is in series to get the voltage, and the 2 sets are in parallel to give longer burn time. It shouldn't be too difficult to rewire so you have 5 AA in series, giving 6V (you would only have 1/2 the burntime though) cheers dave drysuitrepair.co.uk |
