JMD Umbilical - Your Thoughs?

I've been looking at getting the JMD A5070 umbilical and was wondering what peoples thoughts are on them (good or bad).

I've read some of the past posts and other reviews on them but would like some more first hand experience from current users please?

Cheers,

John

There spot on and you won't get any more bang for buck light for the money. If you can pick up the A5070 still that is, there phasing them out and the new model isn't as bright.

The only down side is the size of the battery but if you can live with that there a great torch. Most of my buddies dive them as do I. Apparently there as bright as a Salvo 21watt but not as focused, this info came from someone who owns both torches.

4 hours with the fast charger from flat, I don't think that's bad at all. The Greenforce is nowere near as bright as the JMD.

I have dove them side by side, the JMD is miles brighter!

4 hours is quick enough at charging, I've never needed it any quicker.

why

would you wanna dive them both together when u say the greenforce isnt as

bright surely the brighter one would suffice???

i have no problem with the jmd its the battery weight that put me off!! i also found that the f2 battery was much easier to stow between the twins

I have dove them side by side as one of my mates has one, the JMD is much much brighter. The weight is not an issue either as you just take it of your belt. It's only 1.5kg in water, 3kg out. Also just looked and the GF fast charger states 2-3 hours so not much of a difference.

are you saying it had the pro head on the greenforce ?
if he has the greenforce pro head on his umbilical it comes with a standard 35 watt xenophot bulb thats why it would appear brighter but mine has been upgraded to the 50 watt bulb which in water is no different to the jmd !

I does have a 50 watt Xenophot bulb in it becouse I gave him it, and it's still not as bright. Also with the 50 watt bulb in you won't get 70 minutes as stated out of it.
