A bit of a rant...
One thing that annoys me about Greenforce / Lumb Bros is the way they name their heads, eg: HID 50 - sounds great, but it's not 50w it's 10w -
the HID 250 "250 Watt HID Head" - (as it's called on Lumb Bros) is not 250w it's 50w. It doesn't tell you that on Lumb Bros though. I know they are using so-called 'equivalent' Halogen values. I don't have a halogen torch either, so the comparison is irrelevant to me.
False advertising anybody?
If I'm buying a car and want to know the engine size - they don't tell me it's 'equivalent to 2 ford fiestas' do they?
Grrr!
Am I a bad person?

If it really was a 250w HID then that would be equiv to a 1250 watt Halogen. Now that would be one bright mutha.

It does happen in other areas too. For example with DSLR cameras that use an APS size sensor people say that the 20mm lens is equivalent to 30mm. Not on a 10x8 camera it isn't. Not is it on a 35mm Arriflex! What about cars. I never worked out the difference between hp, bhp, and ps. There are so many things out there waiting to annoy us. I gess that's why so many people spend all of their lives annoyed!
