| Thanks for the input, guys. I think what I might try is onthetrain's suggestion, and attach some jubilee clips and shackle it to the backplate, as I can't really see how it could manage to go missing then! I did have it held (supposedly) in place with a metal weight retainer and a D-ring, but it appears that it can slide over them in certain circumstances...

| I made myself a neoprene sock with drawstring top...big fat cable ties that go through the sock as well as round the battery pack to 2 big fat quicklinks and hang it off my backplate under my left arm...and a goodman handle clipped to a d ring on the other side.. 3 pionts of fixing...I'm more likley to break it than loose it. sorry for your loss chap...hope you get chance to look for it again..

| I have the battery pack fastened to the tanks with a Kent Tooling battery clamp; it’s similar to the pony clamp but only about 6’’ long. Nice bit of kit and it won’t come off accidentally. Bolt snap the head to a d ring, cable tied to the umbilical just behind the head. |
