Ah yes, i've lost stuff off the harness belt while getting out of the water too. Luckily mine was only a knife and in about 1m of water so managed to find it again the next morning.

Everything on there is blocked with weight retainers now, although be careful as that only works for webbing which is exactly the right size - several pockets and things i've had in the past had the webbing loop much bigger than required, so a weight retainer would slip through too.

Thanks for the input, guys.

I think what I might try is onthetrain's suggestion, and attach some jubilee clips and shackle it to the backplate, as I can't really see how it could manage to go missing then!

I did have it held (supposedly) in place with a metal weight retainer and a D-ring, but it appears that it can slide over them in certain circumstances...

Alas,
Another name to add to the hall of fame for the loss of a Greenforce,I believe there's a few on here who have suffered a similar loss!

I made myself a neoprene sock with drawstring top...big fat cable ties that go through the sock as well as round the battery pack to 2 big fat quicklinks and hang it off my backplate under my left arm...and a goodman handle clipped to a d ring on the other side.. 3 pionts of fixing...I'm more likley to break it than loose it.

sorry for your loss chap...hope you get chance to look for it again..

I have the battery pack fastened to the tanks with a Kent Tooling battery clamp; it’s similar to the pony clamp but only about 6’’ long. Nice bit of kit and it won’t come off accidentally. Bolt snap the head to a d ring, cable tied to the umbilical just behind the head.
