| I flew back last week with three light heads and a laptop in my hand luggage (plus four regs, two back up lights and gauges) without any issues. I would strongly recommend seperating the light heads and the batteries (heads in your hand luggage, batteries in hold luggage labeled as per Rob's post). I've been challenged on one occasion as 'bright lights' are seen as suspect as they can be used to blind air crew. Pointing out that there is no battery accessible whilst in the air seemed to pacify them.
