Cant find it on the sight phill but how much for the elasticated goodman-style handle?

EDIT: No worries - found it!

I'd like one of these, they're dead sexy.

BUT

I'm hopeless at this wattage stuff. What sort of brightness would that deliver, compared, say, to one of those posh lantern style Kowalskis? (Yeah, I know they have different outputs too - just trying to find a point of reference). What about, say, a Halcyon umbilical number (the cheapest one)? Or a Scout back up? I'm just interested what you get for a 200 quid price tag that my SL6 can't deliver (apart from a generous helping of cool, which my neon green plastic lamp will never provide).

What I'm driving at is - can I use this as a primary torch (in UK waters of up to 45m for you pedants out there), or is it really just a pricey back up?

Many thanks,
alice

They are a 10 watt hid the same as the low end salvo and halycon umbilicals and are equivalent ish to a 50w halogen or led hed. So they are more than bright enough for anything you ever wish to do.

Hmmm, interesting...

While I assume it's the same bulb as the 10W HID umbilical (?), can you give any idea of how it performs next to it? What i'm thinking is that presumably the reflector is smaller to fit in the small casing, so does that have a significant impact? What's the focus like?

Now that's what I'm talking about for a back up. You can stick your Barolights where the sun don't shine. Got 'em in stock Phill?

Is the bulb still the non Welch-Allyn thing? Does it still carry the guarantee? Why doesn't it need a ballast? Does it twist on? If so, what's the score with flooding? What about the batteries - replaceable with stock AA rechargables, or a custom pack? Clearly not SLA, I'm guessing Li-ion? Gas issues at all?

Lots of questions - but very interested!

Stock arrives Friday, only just launched in the States today so not too shabby timing Selling already so if you want one quick, better get in quick.

You got sooooooooo excited you didn't read the blurb

It's a twist activation, dbl O ring seal. So don't twist it right off, it won't flood

2.6A Li Ion cell.

Usual excellent Salvo quality will ensure the warranty is not needed But if it were it will get the usual superb warranty and service that people have come to expect from Salvo lights.

Welch Allen ? From Salvo ?

When would you like yours delivered ?

Cheers
