Salvo HID. I've got the fear.

Sorely tempted to buy a 21W Salvo, but I have shopping issues and a doubt remains that at that price no one is going to admit to having made a mistake. So I thought an anonymous poll (If I can work out how to do it, which it seems I can't)
Sorry I'm a muppet. "Poll options can not exceed 100 characters. Option(s) 1 exceed this limitation."
The options would have been

1,Good, happy with it.

2,(Fixed sweaty grin), It's changed my life and I'd like it to change yours too err, honest....

3,In the dark at about three a.m, after making sure that there isn't another human being for half a mile, I whisper to the spider under the stairs that I made a terrible, terrible mistake, then I throw up and lie awake staring at the ceiling soundlessly mouthing the words "what have I done?".

Perhaps you could leave your answers under a rock in Hyde park by next Thursday.

Your quite right...............
Don't follow the herd, If you want a torch that it is very hard to trash, is OVER TWICE as powerful try this.

Welkom bij Metalsub

With This Battery pack

Welkom bij Metalsub

The replacment lamp is half the price at around £65.

You can run it at half power, saves some peoples embarresment.

Cost, shop around, £850 to £950, its less than a Salvo 35w Hid.........

The Metalsub looks great, but I think the extra £200 would put me in therapy.

Then by bthe 125 head, and upgrade later.

OR wait until the dive show, and buy it for the same price as the salvo

Erm, nope - but in the dark at about 3am it's fun to see if you can make plans land next door

I have one of the origional UK Salvo 21W torches. I beleive it was the first Nackers one after the origional batch of Woz imports.

I am not sure exactly how old but its over two years getting on for three years? I upgraded the bulb shortly after getting it and i am still on that bulb.
The battery pack is still good too.

I had the conecton block snap off recently and this was replaced by Nicknacks. This has been the only isue so far.

As a torch, if you need more light than this you should get your eyes tested. I find it faultless and have no desire to replace it.

If i were to lose it for some reasion id get another one streight away.

The only other torch of interest to me is the Solus LED torch. I tried the Solus1000 and my buddy uses the 500

Id personaly go for the smaller more compact 500 which is not as powerfull as my Salvo and its not a light saber. But thats not relevent. Its more than adiquate but it has the adventage of being LED so dificult to break. Id realy like one as a back up torch for cave diving but thats probably just being greedy
