The UK brand of torches are pretty good. I've met many divers using them and are quite happy with them.
If you are looking for something to light up holes, and fish, I'd suggest you use one of these new blue light lcd torches. I've been using one for a year now and found that unlike white light or normal lights LCD do not scare the fish away.
If you are interested in seeing colors some torches wash out the colors.
    The "blue light" don't.
IF ITS NOT FUN ITS NOT WORTH DIVING

Dive tank will ship to the UK, I've had stuff (not torches) delivered from them to Ireland. Cheap but their communication isn't the best. Apart from that they were fine to deal with and I'd have no problems using them again.

I currently use a FA-MI Pocket 40w LED, it is a great torch, been using it for about three years. Not had any problems with it. They are pretty indestructable. A mate of mine has just got himself a Tektite Expedition. It is a serious piece of kit. Really impressive at the Hydrobox on Monday. He got his for about £90 from www.divingleisure.co.uk in Leeds.

I have found the Underwater Kinetics torches to be fantastic! cannot fault them,
for your needs it sounds like something like this could be good for you:

On the other hand, if you are after something smaller that you can just pull out when needed I have not found better than this FA&Mi LED torch,

I hope you find what you are looking for!

Blimey some of the advice in this thread is nearly as out of date (12 months or so) as some of the torches that are mentioned in it....LOL....There is now so much more available as Lights and LED technology has moved on massively.
