* Not to be confused with the short, carrot crunching type of Daz. Whatever happened to 'im, eh?
Colour temp is the same for the 18 and 21, maybe a eye perception thing as the light will "appear" to be brighter with the 21W.

Oh sh*t here we go again, perception v measurements.

Sod it, I'm off to Google for a Hollywood

.
PS. Good point that, where is Shorty these days ?

You sure about that Phil?

DIR Explorers - View Single Post - 18 21 or 24 w HID ? ('steel blue white light' comment)

and more specifically...

DIR Explorers - View Single Post - 18 21 or 24 w HID ?

and...

http://www.direxplorers.com/6668-post37.html

Whilst I can't talk about the colour temperature of the current generation of 21w torches as I haven't seen them, the 18w Salvo clearly offered a higher colour temperature to the other models in the Salvo range when it was first introduced... are you saying that the current generation of 21w Salvo offers a 7000k colour temperature?!

Bardo let me know when you up for a splash and I'll bring both along for you to compare.

I think they look the same to all intents and purposes but the 21W obviously kicks out a *touch* more light.

Hehe. I'd say a splash with the scooters is long overdue anyway Rob... let's sort it out soon!

Count.d saw the sea in a book once
Salvo - resorts to insults and possible libellous attacks on it's competitor and uses dubious archaic methods to substantiate their attack.

or

Solus - Gives polite, measured responses with scientific proof to defend their claims.

Who would you like to deal with if your torch went wrong?

Answer: S----

Have to say, Barry has dealt very fairly with me over the years. The lads at Solus I have no experience of personally, but seem nice guys. I think this has come about by using HID lighting as comparison, without actually naming which HID`s are being referred to.IIRC, the original comparison demo box had a Greenforce HID in it. As a result, I believe Barry`s posts are `fair comment`. I posted similiar on tecdiver.ie when Solus were first launched in Ireland.
I am also Salvo agent in Ireland, for the record.

I've had to deal with barry several times through divingniknaks, and my impression is that his attitude to customer problems has alwasy been superb. I would definitely buy another one off him.
