| What's so bad about rechargeable batteries for a backup? Anyway, for me, it would be a primary and probably an overkill at that. Just spent a week on the Zenobia using nothing but a mini-Salvo back-up torch (8AA). |

| We do have quite a few people who have bought these as backups, but they are using them in conjunction with a "std" C cell type backup as well. However, as a Primary and Travelling light, now that is another matter altogether, I think you'd hard pressed to beat the price / performance curve for that. But I would say that wouldn't I .
