It doesn't look too pretty, but does a great job - solid and strong.

That is the one with the flat handle. But John also makes a round handle if you prefer. Personally, I think the flat handle sits steadier on your hand, but that's just me.

Easy - I'm right

Actually, considering the fact that there is a little imbalance - big torch head, then you would probably find the flat handle genuinely easier to use with the JMD.

Think of the other handle being like a pen handle...

Now put a pen across the palm of your hand the way it would sit if it were the torch handle...

Hold your hand the way you would hold the torch, with a slightly curve / grip around the pen err, handle, and you can see that your hand will easily pivot around the handle...

Now think of a large, heavy head on the torch, and what would that do with the pivot? Yep, it will keep falling forward...

But with the flat handle it doesn't fall forward at all, and you can still use your inflator, deploy a blob, use a wreck reel, hold onto kelp in the current...

I have adjusted the space between the top of the Goodman's and the handle so that my hand fits in comfortably, but the back of my hand isn't jammed against the top, yet it won't move about either - nice

Just get the flat one for that torch, it works well.

Anyone know where I can get hold of one?

PS It looks like this Beyond The Blue Technical Diving Magazine, but with a few scratches
I just attached one of those plastic cylinder carry handles to mine http://www.midlanddiving.com/catalog/images/mhandle.jpg . Been using it like that for years. Big handed people or wimps with thick gloves need not apply!
