| How about Greenforce F2 with Halogen "pro" head at around £300. Price not too silly by umbilacal standards. You'll need to rig up a "goodman" handle - I based mine on the handle robbed from stainless steel camping billy. The pro head takes normal domestic 12V bulbs (best if glassless) at about a quid each so gives an hour ro so off a 50W (upgrade from the OE 35W). I've since bought the 100W equivalent HID head which is worse value even off fleabay, a good bit brighter, longer burn, but a bit big. Alternatively, Halcyon's 50W (equivalent) HID is similar priced and looks a good deal, though I've not used one personally. A mate bought one and hasn't bust it yet. I think they have cheaper batteries (lead acids) so can knock the whole kit out at a better price. It looks like the battery comes apart so you can user-change these at modest cost I suppose. Or perhaps Niknaks' non-umbilical Salvo HID for £300, which looks on paper not much larger than my (admittedly brighter) HID head. Not used this nor seen in real life though. Hywel |

| HI, I use a green force tri-star + with A12 battery pack very good burn time 3hrs+, price about £300/£350. This is a great torch with a very good light, I have used this set up in poor vis & have found it OK. At Scapa this October few of the divers said how good the light (brigthness) was. Andy |

| I was always happy with my greenfore F2 and led head, then I dived with someone with a 21w salvo last week. I now have torch envy J.

| I would recommend a salvo, the 10 watt version and they can be attached to the harness or attached to the plastic case on an inspo its versitile either way. |
