I'm a muppett and flooded my torch
I have a princeton tec C8 torch which I know was working when I got out of wrayspuddle the other night, what I didn't notice was that I'd flooded it until about a week later. needless to say the reflector and the light unit are stuffed. Does anyone know where I could get replacements and whether it is worth bothering?
I have already replaced it with a small greenforce from Rob Lumb (thanks Rob) but it seems a shame to throw the thing if it can be repaired economically.

Yep replaced it with a very nice little C2ETO which seems pretty good for the size/money. I don't expect we'll be needing much in the way of light but I always have some light with me even if just for peering in crannys :-) see you later

I flooded a Princeton Tec torch last summer, and when I took it apart, noticed a small crack through the thread where the reflector etc attaches to the main body of the torch.

To cut a long story short, Princeton Tec themselves sorted it for me after I'd contacted them through their website, for the price of the postage to the US. Fabulous service!

Good spot, just looked at the head and exactly the same carck on mine. Have you got the url for them please?

edit... found it and have emailed them, mind you, since the only thing left that is any good is the case I'm guessing I may as well give up and buy a new one. The new LED version looks pretty good. :-)

Spoke to Hydrotech, bill would come to £37 give or take a few pennies. Hmm now to decide, new troch or repair the old one.
