| Solus Maybe you should look at a solus I have an SU500 while not as narrow a beam as HID lamps give off a nice bright light and a very robust design. But the gen 2 product is brighter and a narrower beam. SOLUS Submersible Products - Products Page |

| FaMi umbilicals don't have a great reputation for reliability. i know of at least three people that have had problems with theirs failing. If I remember correctly Howard (the dreaded diving dude of this parish) had one and experienced a fair few problems. For what it is worth, I dive with a guy who has a greenforce LED umbilical, and it seems OK. Personally, I've got a HID 100, but if I'm honest it is overkill for most situations - YMMV!
