I've just ordered a Dive Rite 500 lumen LED light. Only costs $360 so well within your budget. Give it a week to get here and I will let you know how it performs......meant to be as good as a 10w HID without the bulb problems.

i love YD.... not just because you are all (well nearly all) such very nice people... but because i am nearly the proud owner of a halcyon 10w HID.. roll on 17 Feb when I can get it wet. Hurray for YD

now, enough smoke blown up your backsides, back to work. And get on with answering the hood question too you lot!
