UK 100 Light Cannon Dilemma

Looks like the bulb has finally gone in my Light Cannon.........

I wasn't planning on replacing it this year so I now face a bit of a dilemma......

Spend on a new Bulb (£70?) or get something different......?

Answers on a postcard oh enlightened ones please

Also, is there any way of telling if it is the bulb or the driver module that might have failed?

David.

try

I thought my bulb had gone but it was the old rechargeable battery not supplying enough ooomph to fire it up...try using someone else's battery or standard torch batteries with the adaptor plate. I bough an E-Led and put the old battery in that... I get about 8 hours burn per charge

There is if you have a second one...

You'll be hard pressed to get a better torch unless you have a huge chunk of wedge handy.

Seems to have been a false alarm.........

Took it completely apart, cleaned things that didn't look bright and shiney and put it all back together again.

Instead of the rapid ticking sound I get light............

Phew, £70 saved, for a while anyway.

Thanks for the thoughts anyway.

David.

Well, for future note.. the rapid ticking sound is the ballast firing, so that bit was always ok

Flooded my Light Canon at Vodster on Sunday.....went dim so switched off.
Dismantled and dried out when got home and re-assembled today....it fired up. Need a new set of duracell's though !!
Found crack in clear lens which screws onto body so now need to see if it's possible to buy a replacement!!
Anyone any ideas?

If you don't managed to get a replacement from S&S send me a PM. I have a dead UK100 with intact case flying about somewhere...
