Thanks Tom,
had not thought about that but it sounds like a good idea.
Good meeting you in Brighton and I wish I had had my new toy on the Tycho. I saw just about nothing with my C8 but Andy (Weazelz) reckoned he had a decent dive

Get a nice decent peli-case that fits inside a cheapy/scruffy laptop type
bag.

Best of both worlds then.

I am with Nick on this ..... they are very robust and very strong .... if they are delicate enough to need special protection then how are they going to stand up to the rigours of boat or cave diving?

If I am feeling soft I put the lighthead in my hood

Mal

B&Q power tool box for transport, goes in with my analysers. Normally disassembled and with a cover over the torch head

Once at the boat at dive site then its on my rig. Lamphead goes in hood

OK thanks Guys.
I am getting the vibe that I do not need to be quite as worried about breaking my new toy and a simple neoprene beer can holder will suffice.
Good excuse to pop down to my local off licence

Good point but I was thinking of buying the Peli case in Yellow or any colour other than "Stealth Black"
Does that count me out of the cool stakes?
