Uk D40

Following a partial flood I have opened up my UK D40R and taken apart the part with the bulbs in. In the end are some small pellets that are similar in appearance to pencil lead. There were only 3 or 4 small pieces. Does anybody know what they are for, how many should there be and if replacements are required where can I get them from.

Thanks

Uk D4r

The little pellets are there to warn any UK tec that the torch has been taken to bits and therefore void any warrantee. I think. Ive taken mine to bits loads of times. Three years old and still works.

Well, nearly. As the battery discharges, it gives off gasses and the pellets are there to react with these gasses to stop your torch from going 'kaboom' underwater, so I've been told.
