OMG - I want one....!
50W Salvo HiD.... Holy cr@p... According to the spec sheet it kicks nearly twice the light of the 35W Salvo that I was diving alongside all of last week and that is a shed-load of light!

The details can be found on the knackers yard site:

Salvo Havoc 21 Amp Li-Ion 50 Watt Remote Head HID, 35 & 50 Watt Li Ion Lights at divingniknaks 0121 707 5783. Frog, Dirzone, Agir Brokk Scuba Diving Gear

Possibly more interesting is that Salvo have also entered the primary LED market with a single emitter offering. Could be an interesting answer to the LED array focusing issues.

Both just announced tonight so I've not seen either of them in the flesh yet let alone seen them in water. But I really want to...

Phill if you're out there can I borrow one of each? I promise to bring them back ...at some point

Currently resisting temptation by my very short finger nails. Have you noticed the lids? Don't seem to contain a switch. If you can turn one on via the lighthead (meaning I can stow the battery on the side of the CCR) then that's me sold.

Looks like Salvo have dumped NiMH too.

And the 10wHID is no more...
The 21w workhorse is now 10.4amp Li ion...

I don't spend much time on TDS as it comes across as very US centric and I was in Cyprus all of last week so I would have missed it anyway. Phill announced the lights over on Gas Divers tonight and that was the 1st I had heard of it; if Salvo announced in the US last week then ho-hum, didn't mean to post old news and all that...
