| we need help for the perfect light Hello, at first sorry for my bad English. I hope you can follow my idea. We are well known by our "normal" diving lamps. With special light for tech-diving we start in the moment. The first success was our LED-CAVE and the PHOTON, both with the 1000 lumen LED "Ostar". Now we think about the perfect light for tech-diving, but we need your help. Please write in your answers all what you want for this light. For example: which kind of battaries, which kind of light source (halogen, HID, LED), lamp electronic, focusing, holder for the battery cannister, material for canister .......... I have already a special idea for this light, but nobody is perfect Maybe we can construct with your help the perfect light. Thank you for your help Michael [STOP SPAMMING THE BOARDS WITH ADVERTS] |

The big breakthrough will come when someone can build a torch identical to those above, but with LED producing the same output and colour temperature as the big HID bulbs, and the same level of focussing ability. then you;d have all the advantages of both HID and LED and nothing would touch you. Salvo are, IMHO, getting there... |

Also: Must look good Be of good value for money Have great service and support as backup Changeable light heads upgradeable modular

| My ideal light has the following features: Battery that lasts ages, thus minimising frequency of charging ( I suspect that this leads us to LED) Small head unit - Like the CDH1, certainly no bigger Head mounted switch - Again, like the CDH1 Small battery pack - Again, like the CDH1 Must be robust - Like the solus Cost is also a primary factor UK Based exceptional service in the event of a problem Juz

Perfect light for me includes: - Powerfull (min 10W HID equiv) focussed LED head (or maybe a laser pointer build in to use for signaling?) - removable diffuser to use for video or separate specific video head - Removable (screw secured) solid goodman handle that can be replaced with a lokline type fitting for video arm - Umbilical with no straight through connection to battery tank - Surface pluggable secured cable (e.g lumberger) so I can change heads for normal diving and video lighting (on land - don't need to be underwater pluggable) - HDPE or similar non-metal battery tank with clear lid - Reed or stainless pieco [sp?] switch - avoiding breakable rubber switch boot - Webbing belt loop on battery tank - NIMH or better 12V min 4.5 Ah battery with a good smart charger - Modular options of larger, more powerfull lightheads and battery tanks assembles - easy field fixable - Charger must be worldwide voltage 110/220V (12V would be nice too) with different lead/plug options (e.g. laptop powersupply style) I have most of that already except for the lighthead ![]() Do we get a design consultancy fee? ![]() Tschuess Anke
