I've just bought one of these Intova Aluminium LED Torch in Underwater Lights,Non-rechargeable torches from Simply Scuba have yet to get it wet, it's not rechargable rated to 120m and very bright.

Mini Q40 eLED+.

Battery lasts for ages, LEDs dont break. 500ft depth rating. Mine lives in my drysuit pocket and works without fail everytime. Plus its very compact.

Quite a wide beem so no good for signalling, but a bloody good backup. Ive used it as a primary a few times and for red sea night dives and its been spot on.

I would say a Frogman Lenser (which I also have). Better light output than the Q40 but only 60m depth rating I believe.
