| Salvo 12W LED + handheld battery pack review This is the new 12W LED from Salvo, also the handheld battery pack. These are just a few photos to show the size. Initial thoughts are that it has a really solid feel to it. It is very compact on the hand with the supplied goodman handle. The umbillical pack is sealed so I can't see any of the internals. It charges by detaching the LED unit and inserting what looks like a 3.5mm stereo plug. I can put a photo up of this if anyone wants. There is a 2.5hr burn time with the handheld and 5 hours with the umbillical. It is very bright through air. The light is very white, with a large spread with a very bright spot in the centre. It is as bright with the handheld battery as it is with the umbillical. I have dived with this now and it is bright like a frickin laser beam! Very bright, good for signalling but also just using as a torch. It penetrates well. I didnt really notice it sitting on top of my hand. Available from Scuba Diving equipment at divingniknaks and Dublin Bay Diving Cheers Chris Last edited by Leg Of Salmon : 19-04-08 at 06:46 PM. |

maybe you can make a photo of the connection between head and battery and if possible of a look in the frontside, to see the reflector. thanks G.B. |
