I have every faith in Phill and Barry getting it sorted ASAP, but if it comes to it I'll lend you a light so you don't miss any dives.

Son, you're going to have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming aircrew. You can't do both.

The aircraft limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular aircraft. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no limits.

Cheers, have one yourself.

By the way saw you down on the pontoon on Saturday near the shallow end kitting up. Was sat on the pallets oposite de-kitting just as you were kitting up. Was gonna say hi but was a bit busy sorting my stuff + was bursting for a pee. There seemed to be 2 Glocs judging by the the tank labels. Not sure which one was you.

Would you be part of the pair that said you were 'off your face at 60m'?

I was the one in the all-black Protec suit. Garf was in red & black, James in the CLX450.

Neil, ram it! (However, when I get back to a proper browser - on a PDA atm - have a green!)

Yep that will be me. To be honest I wasnt too bad, more narked than ive been before but been diving 50-55m regularly without narcosis affecting me too much. It was that last 5m that really made the difference. I was with someone who dives to that depth regularly though and I still felt in full control (maybe that was the narcosis). I know some people think 60m on air is reckless, however as long as its done carefully and you build up to it I think its ok. Wouldnt do it in the sea though (or not yet anyway ).

Has to be said I do like deep air though ! (probably gonna get slated now)

Just as long as you know it could cause a site to get into all kinds of bother if you were at 60 on air at a managed site, like the NDAC.

From memory I think the place got closed for days while the HSE and Police were trying to sort out last time someone died on a deep air dive there. And every day not trading is a day losing money, which I am sure the NDAC doesn't need.

We've all done it though, but wanted you to be aware of the consequences. Might be easier to do it somewhere which isn't a managed site, like Dorothea or Wastwater, there's loads of decent 50m dives where no-one gets in trouble if it goes to shite Down in Plymouth there's some good dives at Firestone, Millbay etc in that range, easyish deep air sea dives as long as you get the tide right.

Digs.
