Is my Kowalski charging?

My Kowalski 1250 Speed has been unused for quite few months, was charged up before storing. Took it out to charge up, charger LED goes green as does LED on torch. But it's not changing to RED to indicate its charging.

Can I assume the batteries dead (totally discharged) & isn't taking any charge?

PS. Have e-mailed lighthousedving.co.uk for info.

Try cycling the battery a few times. Turn the torch on and drop it in a bucket of water until the light starts to dim. Don't deep drain it as that can screw the battery.

Recharge the battery and repeat the exercise. A few cycles like that will refresh a battery quite well, but there is a limit to how long the batteries will last. 500 charges or so is about the limit I believe.

Try soaking the battery connectors in diluted white vinegar mix. I had the same issue. Also try the charger connectors (power off of course)

I had a similar problem with mine it was a loose connection. Slide off the outer casing, to expose the battery. Get a small allen key or screwdriver and retighten the charging posts, where they come through the black plastic base, they come loose and do not make connection to the PCB. You may only get half a turn, but you should find it charges. Hope this helps.
