I am tinkering... I'm building myself an umbilical dive light. I have all the bits for the head (phase 1) but need to sort out the battery canister. The chap who supplied the housing for the head hasn't got any bare battery canisters so I'm thinking of just buying a Salvo 13.5 Ah canister and lid and putting my own battery pack inside. The umbilical cable I have is about 6mm diameter and the cable gland on the light head will only accept 4mm - 6.5mm cable. So I need to know whether my 6mm cable will be an acceptable diameter that the salvo canister cable gland will be able to properly seal. It's just a backup plan in case I can't get the canister from my supplier in time for a dive trip in 4 weeks..
