Solus 1250 vs Solus2500 or ????

I used to own a Custom Divers CDH18w Hid which I sold but I still haven't got a replacement .
I tried a metalsub 120 hid against my old CD & it was a whiter light but that was about it . I now have Chaseys 1250 Solus Led & it is a nice torch but I was not as impressed with it as I thought I would be
I also have a metalsub 50w hid on loan & although it gives a nice penetration it is a very yellowy light for a hid especially alongside the Solus.

So has anybody tried the 2500 Solus & the 1250 Solus in a side by side test like Mark did between the Solus & Salvo ? I am open to other options but the major criteria is a head mounted switch which throws out the Salvo's .

Or has anybody got a 2500 Solus that I could borrow to do a side by side test on ?

Hi Colinicky,

The SOLUS SU-2500 puts out twice the light of the SU-1250 (2500 Beam lumens instead of 1250)
The beam is slightly broader (3" instead of 2") and about half a degree wider.
The light quality is exactly the same - same colour temp.

Regards,

Kevin

Spare bulb prices for one robustness for another ,In all honesty I would buy a Salvo tomorrow (50w Hid ) except for the switch being on the battery which causes me a problem due to the battery sitting inside my KT frame with the scrubber for the Vision & I don't want to move it from there otherwise I have to switch kit setup around .

ah.. OK.. thanks.

I take it there is no other way of rigging that Salvo then..? i.e. onto the KT frame somehow or moving it outward on your kit?

Why not try Jack at Dublin Bay Diving?

How can it take 3 weeks for Salvo to produce and supply a torch to nakkers? They must be selling loooooads.
