Upgrade Helios 4.5 to Explorer?

Anyone know if the cans are the same size for the H explorer and helios 4.5?

I just 'mystery' flooded mine with seawater and have cooked battery, switch, bulb and wires - NiMH reaction to seawater was entertaining at least-

Upgrading to the improved lid features of the explorer would go a long way to restoring my confidence in the torch.

And yes yes I know.... buy a salvo

If the repair/upgrade quote comes back ridiculously expensive that may be an option.

Whilst on the subject of torches where are the UW comparisons of the new salvo LEDs?

How selfish it is of you all not to buy a selection of torches and take pictures of them underwater to satisfy my curiosity!

On a more serious note woujld love some advice on upgrading the Helios to explorer.

Hi, The canister is different but you could take your existing light-head and have it fitted to a new canister and lid.

Email me all your details and I can get a price for you

regards

Cheers Dave,

I'm over in Aus so will probably have to look closer to home.

The torch apparently needs to travel to the US to be repaired.

Thanks for your help
