10w hid ballast

Hi,

Have just returned from a weeks diving in Scapa. When putting my kit together on the boat before the first dive I discovered that my Torch wasn't working.

People on the boat found a volt meter (cheers Rob) and determined that the batteries were fully charged, the head got hot when switched on so "those in the know" reckon that the power is getting through to the ballast so the wiring from the batteries to the ballast is ok. Rob (good man) went out of his way to take my bulb to Scapa Scuba for me where they plugged it into another torch, it worked so the battery is ok. Sooooooooo...... it looks like the ballast.

Has anyone any experience of ballasts going wrong or how much they are likely to be to replace. I tried divingniknaks over the course of last week but each time the answerphone was on so I will sort it next week with them.

Cheers

Lyv
