Question Stowing the umbilical ?

I have moved to a small umblical torch - a WiseLED - and wondered how others are stowing their umbilical cable when not in use (or are they not and it just hangs free)?

As the battery pack is small, I am able to secure it to my harness; but it does mean there is plenty of cable to hang free if I do so.

A common way is to clip the light head off to the RH chest d-ring then tuck the cable down, under the long hose then into the harness waistband.

Seriously, whilst it's a DIR standard and anyone who knows me will confirm that you couldn't get further from DIR than me, it really is a very effecient way of dealing with the cable when not being used.

You'd get a smack from anyone who needed your long hose if it was over....Tucking it under the long hose means that anyone who needs your reg can have it without it all getting in a tangle.

Nothing but logic, that one!
