| What is the battery technology? If it is Lithium Ion (LiON) or NiMH technology, then no. I would suspect that it is either NiMH or LiON so you should be ok. I am sure the web site should have some details on it. Daz

| It's NiMH so that's ok then. Thanks Ian Quote:

| charge it when ever they don't like being flat apparently so yes you can charge it or so it says on the battery |

| It's a NiMH battery. You should not let it discharge completely, and can top it up as often as you like. I've had mine for going on 3 years and I store it in a cool dry place (discharges slower in colder temperatures) and if I am not diving I recharge it fully every 3 weeks or so. So far, the battery has lost none of its charge and the burn time is the same as new. |

| Store it in a cool dry place? my partner put you up to this didn't she, just 'cos I'll only have the aircon on at night, I'm not made of money you know! It rarely gets below 29C at home Ian Quote:

| rarely gets below 29C at night... You lucky B*****d. It rarely gets above 13C at 12.00 in July here in the UK. I have no sympathy whatsoever! On the topic of batteries, their rate of self discharge (NiMH) is about 1% a day or so and varies slightly with temperature. just keep your battery somewhere in the shade/dry. Maybe also recharge it a bit more often, say 15-20 days - in case you go that long without diving... |
