    Stop fighting

Pay up mate. You know it's inevitable and there is only really one alternative to Salvo as painful as it might be to admit that.

    or what about this one...?

    mb-sub.com: LED-CAVE

On this side is a link to another test report.

If you look for a canister system with 10W HID, then the link above is the better way, because its LED light in best machining and engineering.

have a look at the greenforce 150 watt hid focusable or the 200watt anniversary pack torch is £ 685 for the full torch with charger and umbilical normal rrp £950 same bulb as the metalsub 200 watt and similar size head.it has got a 2hour burn time and has a 3-4 hour recharge time.the 150 watt focusable head has a 9 to 28 degree focus and is a brightstar bulb like the salvo and halcyon.also greenforce have some high power dimmable led heads that also have a strobe function and a morse code function.if you need to know any further info or you want to see some piccys of the torches they are all on our website.the anniversary pack is on the front page of our homepage.

    cheers

Haha. I saw the Morse Code/Disco light in action this weekend.
Imagine John Travolta doing his Saturday Night Fever moves with a Sentinel strapped to his back in 45m of water with the Stern of the Black Hawk as the backdrop and you're close.
Came close to flooding my loop I was laughing so much.
The torch looks great underwater and the handle Robin sorted for you is mint.
    Thanks for that Andy.
    Cheers

GREENFORCE they are robust and do exactly what you expect them to.

In addition to Greenforce being damm good torches they are backed by Lumb Brothers. Straight to the point no nonsense talking and no bullshit.

I've had 2 F2s with HID, LED and halogen for 6 years and I don't need a new torch. If I want something a bit fancy I just buy a new head.

If JJ had shares in greenforce..... well you know....

Andy, you'll probably laugh me into next week for mentioning this and it's not umbilical but works great with the Minxsy handle - my FaMi Evo 60-18 is a heck of a lot of light for only £250.

Not DIR, not trendy, not very cool but a grrrrrrreat torch !

I'm neither DIR Nor am I trendy

I ended up with a greenforce led jobbie and very nice it is too... Fantastic light (its really not that far off the 21w HID) and coupled with the Minxy handle (better than the greenforce offerings) it fits in with the diving I do. Oh and did I mention it is half the price of the HID's.

As Paul has mentioned it seems to have some sort of SOS flashing disco mode so I put it ti god use bg having a little boogie. I thought about spiking the PO2 on the breather to give them a real light show.
