What do you mean by concentrated Micheal? Reading YD you'd think we all wanted 6 degree spots, but that isnt really the case.
I think most of us want something with a bit more of a spread than that, but with a hotspot in the middle - good enough for signalling but also good for looking at stuff too.

It seems there's a bit of a shift away from 'team' diving at the moment......but what do I know. I'm not doing 70m dives.

My impression was, that many divers want a light beam hard focused without spill for really good signaling. This is difficult to get with a LED which has a big die or with a LED which has 4 dies. But in the moment are these both variations the only way to get very high power LEDs.

A nice compromise between the two is really nice. But its hard to find a woma.... I mean light like that

with a 4-die LED you cant get a concentrated light beam which is wanted from the divers.

Yes, it's a very useful beam but not narrow enough for signalling.
