Couldn't possibly comment for legal reasons.

But a friend of mine once dived without his schnorkel!

    Guilty as charged

I've dived below my limit, by 2-3m max. I've also twice (on other dives) overstayed my NDL resulting in 1 min deco on my computer.

I've also done 75mph on the motorway.

    I wouldn't advise either

    OUCH!

I am SAA qualified to 50m on air, wouldn't get to that though!
I used to go to about 25m when I was a PADI OW.

Just read NigelH's post above. I think it summarises nicely the way many of us feel.

It got worse. My ninth dive (still PADI OW, certified to 18) was to 30m, and that was planned. The guides said they were happy enough with our skills, and we wanted to see the wreck...

I almost got into trouble on that one (nearly OOA) and spent my safety stop hanging on the line staring yearningly at the drop tank. It was probably around that time that I started to realise it may have been a bad idea. Cracking wreck though

My first ever OW dive was to 65ft I wasn’t even OW qualified I just had a resort ticket. However this doesn’t count, as I was totally ignorant of the facts at that time.

I find it strange that people just accept the fact there is no transition training from single to twin set rigs?? We just self teach that one for the most part and we don’t think anything of it.

At every level of diving I have dived well past qualification. I did dry suit Nitrox Decompression diving and Trimix without certification. I have even dived past TDI Advanced Trimix as I think it has a 100m limit on it.

At every stage in my development I spent 100's of hours on research and benefited from mentors so perhaps I am not a typical example. Main reason for not doing the course first was ease of access to the gas and lack of available time. In recent years my time is much more flexible so I have found the time for the courses and done them.

What is interesting, though, is how YBOD's are treated. The fact that you can't buy one (pretty much) without having gone on the course.

Maybe if they did that with Twinsets, and did a course, then people would do that?

We covered twinset transition when I did my TDI Adv. Nitrox and deco. I can highly recommend my instructor for her level of thoroughness.

I seem to be in the same vein as most of the above. Gone over the limits but only a small amount compared to most ie slightly deeper etc.

Never pushed it to beyond what i felt comfortable with. If i felt uncomfortable at any moment i would be happy to tell my buddy and pull back a bit.

    Wink You're all dangerous fools......

I guess I don't NEED to post my reply on here..... I have done, and will continue to do so.

But I will add a caveat, that I am ALWAYS aiming to complete the next level certification eventually, it's just that I choose to do that type of diving before being certified, not that I never intend to get certified - big difference if you ask me.

(notice the little winky emoticon, next to the title of my reply...... really there should be one of these as well.....)
