Smile Divemaster course

hi all yd'ers
i am 17 and i ssssssoooo love diving, now this might sound like a stupid question but i haven't the foggiest so please can you help?

i have just turned 17, well turned 17 at the end of january but i was wondering what is there i can do of my divemaster before 18...if i can that is.

i know that the age limit is 18, but that doesn t stop me reading the manual and filling in the knowlegde reviews which i have already done by the way, but can i do the exams as well...or is that not allowed. i so can't wait though, i m hooked. so please could you help me.

i ve read the manual over and over and i m so eger, and i ve also learnt the wheel and read the encyclopedia. but i know that i must keep doing it yo keep my knowledge freash..

thanks for the help...i ll now be here waiting for a reply with my fingers crossed.

Hi Chap,

Afraid you are stuck until you are 18.

The relevant PADI standard stipulates age 18 PRIOR to commencement of Divemaster training.

Sorry to be the barer of bad news.

Its only ONE SEASON AWAY!!!!!!!!!

Things you can do:

Dive, get a lot of experience - a DM without a range of experience is of limited use.
Practice your skill circuit - the aim is to get them up to demonstration standard.
Dive! This cannot be over-emphasised.

Otherwise, good luck, the course is challenging, but rewarding.
